Portal Browser Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Portal Browser application for iPhone.
Last updated September 10, 2026.

The short version

This browser sends nothing about you anywhere. There is no account, no analytics, and no tracking.

What stays on your iPhone

Pages you visit. The browser keeps a history so the address bar can offer them back as you type. It is kept on this device only, it is never sent anywhere, and it goes when you delete the app. You can clear it whenever you like from the menu.

Cookies and site data for the sites you open, the same as any browser. Clearing them is in the same menu.

Apps you have linked, their icons, and the copies that let them open with no network. On this device only.

Bluetooth devices you have paired with a site, and which site is allowed to reach them.

Your settings, such as which search engine you use and whether tabs are kept separate from each other.

What leaves your iPhone, and where it goes

Whatever you browse to. When you open a page, your iPhone talks to that site, and that site sees what any website sees, including your network address. That is between you and them, and their policy covers it, not this one.

What you type in the address bar, when it is not an address, goes to the search engine you have chosen. You can change which one in the menu.

Site icons, which are fetched from the sites themselves.

Nothing else, and there is a simple reason for that: this browser has no server. There is nowhere for your information to go, because we do not run anything for it to go to.

Bluetooth

Some web pages can ask to connect to a nearby Bluetooth device. When a page asks, the browser shows you a list and you pick one. The page never sees the list, only the device you picked, and it can reach that one and nothing else. You can take a device back from a site at any time. Nothing about your devices is sent to us, and there is no us for it to be sent to.

No analytics, no tracking, no advertising

The app contains no analytics, no advertising, no third party trackers and no crash reporting service. The privacy manifest Apple requires inside the app declares no collected data types and no tracking at all, and you can check that yourself on the App Store listing.

Children

The app is not directed at children, and it collects nothing from anybody.

Deleting everything

Delete the app. Everything above goes with it. Nothing survives somewhere else, because nothing was somewhere else.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with the date it changed.
