Portal Browser
A private web browser for iPhone that lets web pages connect to the Bluetooth devices you choose.
For iPhone with iOS 16 or laterThe web, with Bluetooth, on iPhone.
Portal Browser is built for web apps that work with nearby devices, and for people who would rather their browser kept nothing about them.
Bluetooth, from the web.
Some web pages need to reach a nearby Bluetooth device. Portal Browser lets them ask. You see the list and pick the device, and the page sees only the one you picked. You can take it back from a site at any time.
Private by design.
No account, no analytics, no advertising, no trackers and no crash reporting. Portal Browser has no server, so there is nowhere for your information to go.
Your web apps, linked.
Link the web apps you use. They keep their icons, and the copies kept on your iPhone let them open even without a network connection.
The details, done right.
Your search engine
Anything you type that is not an address goes to the search engine you choose. Change it any time from the menu.
Tabs kept apart
Choose whether your tabs are kept separate from each other.
Clear it any time
Clear your history, cookies and site data from the menu whenever you like.
Delete means gone
Delete the app and everything it kept goes with it. Nothing survives somewhere else.
What stays, and what goes.
Portal Browser keeps what it needs on your iPhone and nowhere else.
Stays on your iPhone
- Pages you visit, so the address bar can offer them back as you type.
- Cookies and site data for the sites you open, the same as any browser.
- Web apps you link, their icons, and the copies that let them open with no network.
- Bluetooth devices you have paired with a site, and which site may reach them.
- Your settings, such as your search engine.
Leaves your iPhone
- Whatever you browse to. Your iPhone talks to that site, as it would with any browser.
- What you search for, sent to the search engine you chose.
- Site icons, fetched from the sites themselves.
- Nothing else. Our Apps runs no server for Portal Browser, so nothing about you or your browsing comes to us.
